Don't waste your money! Nov 29, 2008
By T. A. Hanson This bowl is a very poorly made imitation of the Texas Ware confetti bowls that were once and remain popular in kitchens across America. Unfortunately, the Texas Ware bowls are now out of production and are typically only available in online auctions, but compared to this bowl, one of those well-used, old bowls is probably a much better deal.
The inferior nature of the bowl lies in its thin side walls and confetti design (which smashes together bits of semi-solid plastic). Because of these inherent design flaws, the bowls tend to crack and shatter rather easily under a small amount of pressure into large sharp pieces. Can you imagine the mess of one shattering across your kitchen counter and floor while full of sticky, gooey chocolate batter. I can, it happened to me.
I would have given this bowl a minus rating if that would have been possible. My advice, look elsewhere for better quality and tell Zak to take a hike.

Love this bowl Jan 05, 2010

I really like this bowl. The size is great for many uses from mixing to garbage bowl. I particularly like the way this bowl is shaped. I can't speak to the bowls durability as I've only had it for about a month. Any melamine bowl can shatter into jagged piece, it's just the nature of the material.

Diappointed in the shipping Aug 15, 2011
By Crisl This item arrived broken in many pieces, really thought these would be indestructable like the old melmac dishes. Also bought the set of mixing bowls, they came packaged in their own box and arrived safely but now I'm worried about dropping them, I kept them because they are really pretty bowls. Amazon was quick to refund my money.

Poorly packaged for shipping Dec 07, 2012
By Romie Policy I rated this with one star because it arrived at my house cracked in half and with the rim broken into a bunch of pieces. It arrived in a box that was about three times the size of the bowl, with nothing but a thin piece of plastic wrap (similar to a grocery store sack) loosely wrapped around it. I owned the item for all of an hr, before driving straight to the UPS depot to return it. It's too bad that it arrived broken, because the size was wonderful, the design beautiful.
