Good range of sizes, but BREAK Feb 09, 2009
By Stephanie S. these were great for the first week i bought them. one of them broke in half, and one got a huge crack in it after the first month. one i dropped (but not far) and the other just got a huge crack in it somehow (i didn't drop it). SO now all i have is the huge bowl and the smallest bowl. By the way, i am not rough on my kitchen tools, so don't think i am huge clutz - basically, these bowls will probably break for you too.

Almost perfect Mar 18, 2009
By J. Wolf I love the color of these bowls and I love the way they nest. They are just so darn close to being perfect that I wish I could just change two things about them.
1. They can't be used in the microwave. Yes, I know they are "mixing" bowls and not something you cook in, but I would really like to be able to soften some butter or cream cheese before mixing.
2. They do slide around on the counter because there's no rubber ring or feet to keep them stable. I solve that by putting the bowls on a silicone hot pad when I'm really putting them to use.
The other feature that some people might not like is that they have steep sides which go down to a fairly flat and narrow bottom. This is not the best shape for using a mixer.
Despite these issues, I still give them a four. They are the happiest looking bowls I've ever seen and I enjoy using them for mixing and for serving.

so ugly they're cute! Apr 06, 2010
By raeleighjo i love these bowls and use them all the time. i also ordered a set for my roommate. i would have given this product 5 stars, but i want everyone to know that lids are NOT included. The description says that they are, so when I didn't receive any, I contacted Amazon and let them know. they offered to send me a new set and i accepted. new set came. no lids. okay.... i contacted amazon again and explained that i didn't even SEE where lids could be included. they gave me a deal on the bowls and said they'd change the description on the website. this hasn't been done yet. so just a heads up, y'all -- no lids. but the bowls are super cute for mixing/serving/whatever! The biggest one is a good size to do a brownie mix or a salad for a crew, and the smallest one is good for dips and sauces.

We use these bowls all of the time. My girls love them b/c they're pretty so they love having snacks in them and I do a lot of mixing in them. I have also used them for salad. They will be great this summer for potato & macaroni salads.

Who Thought I'd Like These? Mar 25, 2011
By Ira Mency I am a vintage melmac lover who doesn't buy anything made in China. In fact I thought these bowls would be crap. I bought them only to do a review on them, because I run the RetroChalet blog on blogger which is all about vintage plastic and history of vintage melamine back when they were made in the 50's. It was an unpaid review and I was planning on talking about how horrible they were, and about how people should buy Vintage Texasware. Much to my dismay, they were given a high satisfaction rating be me. You can see my video on Youtube under my name or visit my blog site and see a video and full review I did under "Zak ". Sadly I would upload the video but I have since deleted the master copy as I purchased them months ago.
I just thought I should rate them now, three months later, as they are still being used and abused in my kitchen and I am so very pleased with them that I would recommend them to a friend, and or, buy more.
The only suggestion I had for the company is to put a proper care and use tag on them, because these bowls should not be mircowaved, or used for very hot items or they risk breaking.
We use them for peanuts, popcorn, fruit and salads and they are lovely and colorful to look at.
