Colorful, Fun, Casual, As Pictured! Jul 04, 2009
By DeClawed We were looking for light-weight, casual, durable dinnerware for my older mother to use. To see what they looked like in person, we selected a white and a black version of the 11" plate and had them shipped to us. They arrived and looked as expected: they are varied in the colors and concentration of the "confetti" in each plate. The white has a prettier color selection and how it is portrayed, and the black looks a little more reserved appearance, with the colors not showing quite as clearly. However, since we only are seeing one of each, I imagine that they will vary a bit for each example.
I had to laugh at the other reviewer commenting on the size. I agree that 11" is large in person, but on the other hand, it's 11"--which is exactly what the description says it is. If you order 11" and get 11", don't complain that it's 11"! For my mom, we're ordering a set of 9" plates for her to use for dinner, and using the 11" ones for serving plates.
As far as the colors are concerned, we selected the black and white because the other offerings looked garish to us (for our tastes) in the pictures. Again, I would suggest that you should only buy the other colors if you like how they look in the numerous photos on the site. However, if you are looking for casual, colorful, durable plates, I think these are great choices!

By Good shopper We have a fifties style home and white table and the white confetti looks really cool when the table is all set with these plates, bowls, cups. I liked the color options too, but we use Fiestaware, and I thought all the colors would be a bit much. The plates were not packed well and one of them came broken, but Amazon sent a replacement immediately, so it was a pain to send it back, but it all worked out.

By Andrew J. Kemmerer I purchased 4 of these plates and plan to purchase several more. My wife loves them as they are colorful and seem to easily stand the dishwasher. They are not cheap by any means, but we like them and believe they represent a good buy.

Very sturdy and fun Aug 14, 2010
By Photolady I have had these plates for a year now and love them, want to get more. They are heavy, sturdy melamine and don't show scratches and staining like other melamine dishes I've had. We wash dishes by hand at our house so we need something unbreakable but still stylish. The bright colors do sort of outshine the food, if you are the type that worries about food presentation. I like the white ones best for this reason.
