This are very cute but much smaller than expected. They are 2 ounces each. The bowls measure about 1.5" x 3". So I am not sure what the above dimensions mean at all. I was expecting a much larger bowl based on the size listed. I would rate these high on quality, material, thickness, and color. Rated them lower because this description is not even in the ball park, even when I stack them. The outside box is not even remotely close to the size listed.

First of all, these were much smaller than I'd expected (they hold maybe 2-3 oz), and I thought they'd be useless, but I soon found all sorts of uses for them. My kids use them for raisins, nuts, yogurt, condiments, etc. as well as craft projects. Second, they are indestructable. Despite their small size, they are made of heavyweight melamine. I've dropped these countless times on my ceramic floor and they are still perfectly intact. I'm pretty sure you could run over these with a truck and the worst you'd do is chip it a bit. In addition, the colors are bright and as far as I can tell don't fade.

I love these mini bowls and have bought three sets of them. The colors are bright and don't fade with washing. The small size enables them to be used for condiments, side servings of liquids that might interfere with solids on the regular plate, and portions of salad dressings for dipping and portion control. Since I keep a kosher kitchen with color coded tableware, these bowls are perfect for serving the right bowls with the right food.

These bowels are just the right size. I give my cats and dogs a little treat of special wet food every morning and wanted something small that would hold just a little bit of food for them. These mini bowels are strong and durable, besides being colorful. I love these mini bowels. They may also be used for snacks for kids such as M&M's, nuts, etc.
