Good concept, but will not hold up to daily use Jul 23, 2011
By Luckyfire I like the concept of saving money on plastic bags and have even made a few "resusies" myself, but I am not a seamstress and hoped for a product sturdier than what I made, unfortunately this is not it. The stitching is weak and after a few tugs of the velcro it will be worthless. It may last a bit longer with my husband carefully using it. Oh well - back to my sewing machine. I would suggest stronger stitching to make this product worthwhile.

By nisabisa This is a great reusable sandwich wrap. I think it's better than the others that zip or are a pouch because it doubles as a map so is more hygienic for school lunches.

My husband takes lunch to work every day and we go through a LOT of sandwich bags. A friend has some of these and recommended them to me and I am very happy with the product. It's big enough for even a thick sandwich and wipes clean easily. The Velcro is attached firmly to the material and even if it ever did come loose, it would be easy to sew it back on or even buy a roll of that Velcro that is super sticky on the back and replace it with that (I'd still sew it on, but the sticky back would help keep it in place longer). However, I don't foresee the Velcro that is currently on it coming off anytime soon. I think this is a great concept and for the price (basically what it would cost to buy two boxes of Glad sandwich bags)- this is a great concept and worth the money! A great idea and a great product.

I use these every day to pack my kids lunches. Love that I can just wipe it down after their done using them. Also at school my daughters use the mat as an eating surface instead of putting their food on the cafeteria tables. Eliminates the need and cost of ziplocs.

By NJ Mom I wanted to try these wraps so I could minimize use of ziploc bags for sandwiches. While I've definitely accomplished this, I feel like the plastic part could be slightly higher quality. Washing the inside is easy but try not to get the fabric part dirty b/c you can't really wash the outside.
