An alternative to churning through hundreds of disposable paper muffin liners, this set of 12 baking cups can be used over and over again. The 3-by-3-by-1-1/2-inch cups fit in the cavities of standard metal or glass muffin pans, or they can be placed individually on a flat cookie sheet or jelly-roll pan for stability. Constructed of food-grade silicone that resists stains and odors, they deliver exceptional baking performance and even cooking for a variety of delicious treats--everything from birthday cupcakes and fresh breakfast muffins to individual brownies, mini cheesecakes, and more. In addition, the flexible cups ensure easy removal of baked goods or molded gelatins, and their crinkled edges impart that traditional muffin edging so popular in coffee shops and bakeries. While safe for use in the freezer, microwave, or conventional oven (up to 500 degrees F), the versatile baking cups can also be used to hold colorful candies, individual party favors, or multi-colored sprinkles and edible glitter while hosting a cookie-making party or decorating cakes. Best of all, they feature convenient fill lines that take the guesswork out of baking. Stackable for compact storage, the set of 12 baking cups (6 red and 6 blue) cleans up easily by hand or in the dishwasher and carries a limited lifetime warranty.

It may still stick... Oct 20, 2007

I am a big fan of silicone bakeware within its limitations. I thought these would be really great, and they are from a storage perspective and muffins/cupcakes don't stick but...if you leave them in these cups until they are totally cool, they will start to stick, so you don't really want to serve them in these even though they're really cute. :(
So, you take cupcakes out of the silicone cup, and then because they are so small they get dry really fast. If you were making a regular cupcake or muffin you would either put it in a paper liner that would hold some moisture in, or you wouldn't use a liner and the sides would be smooth so there isn't as much surface area to dry out.
Also, how do people wash these in the dishwasher? I can't find a way to do it that wouldn't have them falling down and being tossed about.
Cute and fun if you are making cupcakes or muffins that you eat immediately, otherwise I'll stick to individual foil cups or paper liners, or maybe try some of those silicone cups that have smooth (not pleated/fluted) sides.

not worth the money Jun 22, 2007
By mary it seems like a good idea to have reusable baking cups. it eliminates the need to buy the paper ones, plus you can use them without the actual pan. the problem is they are very hard to clean. the cupcake batter slightly sticks to the baking cup and it is very hard to get off. i put it in the dishwasher and the residue of the cupcakes was still there. i soaked them in soapy water and THEN washed them in the dishwasher. most of it went away at that point, but what a pain. i think i will go back to the paper ones.

ALMOST as advertised Oct 25, 2009

"clutter-prone no more :)"
These are lightweight yet with a sturdy feel to them, easy to (hand)wash, stacks compactly and takes up very little space in the cupboard. No need to grease prior to use. The cupcakes baked evenly in them and popped out cleanly even after I let them cool down to almost room temperature. There's even an inner ridge (parallel to and approx. 0.375 inches below the rim) that one may use as a guide on how much mixture to put it so that the baked product does not overflow from the silicone cup.
The one drawback? It says on the product description that these are 3-inch cups. If one is inclined to generously round-off upwards they might be considered as 3-inch cups. Each of he cups in the set I received are 1.625 inches diameter at the bottom, 2.625 inches diameter at the top, and 1.25 inches deep.

Easy Muffins - No more paper cups sticking to the muffins Jun 29, 2008
By Paula Margies This is the best invention since sliced bread. I like to make muffins and freeze them for company. This makes it so simple, just spray the cups with PAM and pour your batter. When the muffins are done, they slip right out of the silicone baking cup and I'm ready to make batch two. They clean up with soap and water. It could not be any easier. What I especially like is the fact that when I used paper liners, sometimes the paper would peel off half the muffin and it was not a neat proposition. This makes the muffin come out perfect every time.

Throw away your muffin pan! Feb 18, 2007
By Silver Wolf These muffin cups worked very well. The muffins were cooked perfectly with the bottoms just right instead of being too crispy. My only complaint is that they are a little difficult to clean. Well worth the hassle though, especially since they take up practically no space at all.
