Looking for a better grill brush? Keep looking... Oct 17, 2009
By karl michalko I thought this would solve all my problems. The traditional brushes seem to "waste" a lot of their surface area in that the bristles on the leading edge get squashed down pretty quickly and you end up using the wood (or in some cases) plastic to smear things around. This looked like it would not have that problem. But the bristle density leaves a lot to be desired and they tend to get squashed very easily. I don't think this is any better, or in fairness, any worse than the traditional design. I do find that I miss the metal scraper part that is found on traditional brushes, especially if it has the little cut out on the side to scrape each individual "rung" of the grate. So I'll keep using this until it doesn't work but I doubt I'll get another after that.

No problems with this user Mar 14, 2008
By steeb Been 4 season grilling for more than 25 years and I find this brush to be the longest lasting and most versatile...........Use it on vermont castings grill with porcelain coated grills........ Just bought a second one after having the previous one for almost two years.........

Good brush but not a great brush Aug 20, 2008
By Donald L. Fry I liked the length of the brush and the toughness of the bristles. I just did not think it does as good of job cleaning the grates on either my Weber Kettle grills or my gas grill with porcelain covered cast iron grates as a traditional Weber grill brush does. I think the problem may be that it does not have as much surface area as a traditional brush.

Not made with brass anymore! May 24, 2009
By jhigg478 Didn't actually use the brush as when it arrived it had steel bristles and not brass (which is what I was looking for). Contacted Weber and they confirmed they switched over from brass to steel on this item so if you are looking specifically for a brass bristles brush, beware.

Perfect Design Dec 10, 2010
By Litefever The bristles are far stiffer than those provided on the various brass brushes we've used in the past. They cut straight through the grease and burnt on food. They have also remained straight, unlike the brass bristles on the other brushes we've tried, prolonging the effective life of the brush. The spiral pattern of the bristles on the head makes cleaning between the bars extremely easy. You're basically cleaning 3 sides of the bars at once. The head of the brush is also fairly broad, every stroke covers a fairly large area. If ours ever wears out we'll buy another without hesitation.
