By atl reader If you have the Vinturi wine aerator, then it's a good idea to have these extra filter screens on hand. Especially if you have a husband that likes to grind them up in the disposal like mine does! Amazon had a good price on them also.

We accidentally ran the old filter down the garbage disposal and happy to be able to get an on-line replacement. I don't recall the old filter sticking up as high as the new filters. They do the job but don't fit the same as I remember.

By MARIAN G We enjoy drinking wine and aerating it with the Vinturi aerator. I was not able to purchase these screens from any local wine store so I bought them from Amazon. The cost seemed reasonable b/c you get 5 in an order. (This amount should last a very long time). The screen helps in catching any sentiments that might have accumulated at the bottom of a bottle of wine. Is it a necessary gadget which will enhance my drinking pleasure, NO. But if I am drinking a more aged wine or a cheap bottle, I do have the assurance that these screens sit securely atop of the aerator and will catch any sentiment. It's actually a nice gift for a wine drinker, especially if you can't think of what to buy for the holiday season.

If your drop this in the garbage disposal like I did, you are happy that they make a 5 pack so you can replace it and still use the aerator.
