The most affordable and best thing for tea leaves! Nov 30, 2010
By Nancer Loved it so much that I bought 2 more as presents. Leak free and also closes very nicely so no liquid comes out. I love that it is clear so that you can see the color of the tea and how the tea leaves transforms while it boils and keeps warm inside. Retains the flavor of the tea - all day long!!! Easy to clean and very sturdy! Dropped it many times and nothing happened to it. Except for some marks but that's a certain after dropping. I love that you can put it in the microwave if u take the metal tumbler out to reheat the tea... Overall, amazing! Affordable and would buy more as presents for tea lovers:-) Ps- I even put warm milk inside it and a couple pieces of milk chocolate Hershey kisses and had myself chocolate milk! Amazing! Conventional! :-) love love love

On a chilly day I put tea in the basket, add hot water and take it with me to water aerobics. When I get out of the pool, I have hot tea waiting. This product works equally with hot, warm or cold water.

Other than using tea bags, it was more work that I wanted to prepare tea with loose leaves. I used my infuser tumbler for the first time this morning and I was pleased. I had read the reviews of many infuser tea tumblers and the Trudeau received the best reviews.
This product is handy for anyone who does not want to prepare a pot of tea and wants an easy & effective way to allow loose tea leaves to steep.
The only problem which I encountered was removing the top of the infuser. I finally bent the clasp to which the arrow pointed and it works fine. I have left all of the other stabilizers around the cap of the infuser as is because they help to anchor and hold the infuser cap in place.
I don't know if this is the correct procedure, however, if anyone knows of a better method, it would be helpful to write a review or amend the review which you have already written.
UPDATE: This not a durable product and cracks after a moderate amount of time. Instead I highly recommend the Bodum Double-Wall Stainless Steel Travel Coffee and Tea Press with Bonus Lid, 0.45L, 16oz. The Bodum is an amazing product that is durable, can be used in the dishwasher, keeps tea or coffee warm for hours. It comes with two lids, one of which is a press and the other just a cover. The bodum is more expensive but in the long term it will save you money because it is so durable.

By Aaron702 I had been looking for a solid infuser mug for work. I drink a lot of silver needles white tea and, to date, I have used a large stainless steel tea ball-type infuser in a bigger mug. Nice, but messy, and it scratches the inside of the mug a bit. So this looked like a better option.
The picture Amazon shows allowed me to zoom in and I noticed it had an extremely small mesh for the infuser. This was exactly what I was looking for. Between that and the metal clip to tighten the top, I figured tea couldn't get out and float around the cup. I was wrong.
The slider clip does work well and is tight, but the metal hinge is much looser; therefore, there is no real seal of the top lid to the rest of the infuser unit when you go to drink from the mug with the infuser still in it. Bigger leaves do not work their way out, but small ones do. I would like to see a tighter hinge top or a silicone seal around the lid to address this. Fortunately, if you wait a minute, the floating leaves do settle and then you can drink for a bit. Unfortunately, once you upright the tumbler, the leaves launch themselves around the mug again. Basically, you can drink from the mug once every minute and assure you aren't going to drink the loose tea leaves. This is somewhat annoying.
Amazon's description states this tumbler is dishwasher safe. A paper insert that came in the bottom of the tumbler states it is not dishwasher safe. I'm here to tell you it is NOT dishwasher safe, because the first time I put it in the dishwasher, it came out with a crack on the outer plastic portion. Do not wash this in the dishwasher. I had set the dishwasher on low heat, so it shouldn't have had an issue, but what this means is simply that Amazon's description is inaccurate and I should have followed the insert's directions, instead.
I had no problems with any other functionality of the mug, but I was left really wanting a handle. This mug is likely to be dropped, as there are only slick surfaces to grip it.
The tumbler is attractive and functional, but I'm left with a broken but still functional item with other flaws.
Unfortunately, this is about as good as it currently gets in the world of tea infuser mugs. It's worth your time as long as you can handle the concerns I've noted.
