Cute and functional Jun 21, 2009
By Preacher Lady

There's really no such thing as the perfect tea infuser or there wouldn't be so many new ones out there. This one is made of silicone, which has the advantage of its rubbery-feel flexibility. The tea goes into the body of the "berry" and is then put in the bottom of the mug. The "handle" is the leaf, and the "stem" is flexible. That means it hangs over the edge of the mug like a teabag, as opposed to many metal infusers where the handle is rigid and sticks up several inches out of the mug, making the whole thing a big unstable. There is a "slice of fruit" that serves as a lid to the mug while you're steeping the tea, and then as a place to put the infuser after it's done its job.
The only real complaint I have is that the "berry" isn't quite big enough, at least for some kinds of tea. It depends on how much tea you want in the infuser. If you're using a type that requires a full tablespoon, for instance, it's not going to work very well. On the other hand, the holes in the berry are small enough that there aren't a lot of extra tea leaves floating around in your mug.
I have yet to find the perfect infuser, but this is a nice one to use while I further the search.

Nice for smaller cups. Cute? Nov 29, 2009
By Some Guy I am a long time black tea drinker. Now a days, I have been lowering my caffeine, A LOT, but not the size of the cup. These are nice for my Mom and her smaller cups that the "leaf/tail" hangs out of. They're pretty & cute and that's why I got them for her. She loves them! For me, I like that you can use them in the microwave, even on job sites(yah, go ahead and laugh! I do.), unlike any stainless steel infuser. Easy to rinse out, too.(in dishwashers, as well) My only problem is that the tail falls into my taller cups/mugs all the time and I have to dig it out. And the lid not fitting over wider mugs, not as big of a mention.
Don't get me wrong. Great idea and product, for most. Microwavable infuser, to me, as much as I am running around all the time or at work?... Nice!... It made it more convenient for me to drink healthier teas, on the go. So, I'll give'em that! ... And my family and I have looked at/for A LOT of different infusers, through the years.
So, Mom gets the Trudeau, and I am trying the new ones with the stiffer, spoon shaped, silicone infusers from [...], that can't fall in. I was hoping Amazon carried them, too. If they work out, maybe Amazon will have them by the time I need new ones or more of them! (hint to Amazon -lol-)
5 stars: for product itself 3 stars: for tail falling inside my taller cups :)

cute, useful and easy to use! Apr 08, 2010
By Pandorafayh I ordered 4 of these when a friend of mine showed me hers. they arrived today and i just got done trying one out. I love that it is made of silicon because it is so much easier to use than the metal and other tea infusers i have used, the little stem works great like the string of a tea bag and dangles off the side of my tea mug and i love that it is flexible and not like some of the metal handles i have used in the past. I love the little lid that also comes with it so that when i am done using it to cover my cup and let the tea steam i can set the little berry infuser on it. The little berry part of it can hold a decent amount of tea and the little holes are nice because so far i havent had any problems with loose tea getting everywhere in my mug! the reason i did rate this four stars instead of five is that some teas dont quite fit in the berry, if they have bigger pieces to them, or if you need to use a certain or larger amount. But it mostly works and i adore it!! it is easy to clean up after also which is amazing and nice :) lol i was disappointed by the fact that the colors were randomly chosen. i was really hoping to receive a red one at least but i ended up with 3 yellow and 1 orange. I think this would make a great gift for any tea drinkers you might know, I want to send one to a friend of mine who will just love the cute berry look and how nice it is to use.
On the cute note i think it was a creative way to make the infuser! i love strawberries and when i saw this it just made me say i have to try it! it's so cute!
All in all I think the positive to this infuser is the silicone which makes it flexible, and it is abit more stable than the metal infusers with handles that can sometimes be a bit heavy. can hold a decent amount of tea and is easy to clean up!!! I'm so glad my friend showed me hers! it's just what i needed.

Great For Tea Drinkers! Oprah Likes It! Feb 13, 2009

Well I got this off of a different website but I love it so much. It is just so cute and it works great. The berry is big enough for a plenty of tea and it floats so you don't have to fish around in hot water for your tea. The little saucer is so nice and keeps the water hot while its steeping and then you can use it to rest the teaberry on so you don't get drips anywhere.
I guess my only complaint is that it a pain to clean, but you can toss it in the dishwasher no worries.
Everyone who sees this thinks its so cute.
I saw it in Oprah's favorite things part of her magazine and just thought it was so cool I had to get it.

Random color appauling (orange) Jun 25, 2011
By Rose Madder I was well aware that I would be receiving a random color, but the color I received is not anything like the strawberries pictured. Of course I was hoping for a red strawberry, but instead I got orange. And this is not just any orange. It is the ugliest, dirtiest-looking orange I have ever seen. It's a cross between a burnt orange and tan. I'm really disappointed in the color alone.
I tried my infuser out and it was a flop, however the tea I used was finely ground. The small bits of tea floating in my drink rendered it undrinkable for me. I'm disappointed, but I should have known better from reading the reviews. I do not recommend this item as a tea infuser. Not only was the color I received enough to make a yak puke, but its functionality was far below my expectations. I do not see this working well for any kind of loose tea. It the strawberry itself was made of a wire mess, then it would be awesome. Sometimes silicone isn't always better. Very cute though. I guess I fell for the damned cuteness attack.
