Good item, but not what I wanted Mar 19, 2006

I didn't know that when I bought this "spatula" that it was a "spoon spatula." Nowhere in the description does it say that the head of this spatula is only 1.5 inches wide. It says "spoon spatula" on a sticker on the item when you take it out of the box, but nothing about it in the description.
I blame myself for not researching its size, but that should have been listed. It is a great product though, nonstick and doesn't melt, but I was expecting something different. A better description and more research on my part would have circumvented this problem.

This is the best of the four kinds of silicone utensils. Sep 02, 2005

The advantage of the completely silicone spatula is that no metal damages the nonstick pan lining unlike a silicone head and a metal handle and there is no melting of the handle or stem unlike plastic handled spatulas. There is much more durability than a wooden handle and there are no crevices for food to collect and spoil. I have all three other kinds of silicone utensils and am now completely converted to having a totally silicone utensil.

Best Spatula Ever! Nov 26, 2005
By John D. Hearn I am quite enamoured with this little utensil. I bought it because it was the cheapest silicone spatula I found, but it turned out also to be the best designed. The all-silicone construction not only protects the handle from melting, and you pot from scratching, but makes it the easiest and most comfortable to use as well.
Also note that most silicone products are only rated for use up to 400°F or so, while this is rated to 600°F. I havent used it at temperatures that high, but I'm comforted to know I have that option if the need arises.

A Pleasant Surprise Sep 27, 2007
By Patricia Fulda

I wasn't entirely sure what I was getting when this spatula arrived. It is not as flat as its picture indicates. On the other hand, it is a whiz at serving up anything, from peas to chicken (food seems to mound on this relatively small-appearing spatula end). I have seen this spatula become my most used kitchen tool, followed only by my non-stick traditional spatula for breaking up and turning meat. A good buy!

great little spatula Oct 19, 2007

Even though I had read the reviews about the spatula being small, I really didn't expect it to be this small, especially when it arrived in such a big box. But I can see it being the most used tool in my kitchen. I find myself washing it to use over and over when cooking a meal.I would like to buy my 2 daughters 1 and I may have to buy another for me.
