Don't buy this item Nov 13, 2009
By Jane Doe Before I bought this item, I called Trudeau to find out if it was dishwasher safe, since it didn't mention this in the description. I was told (twice) that it was. I was doubtful, but I ordered it anyway. The first thing I noticed upon opening the package was that it said on the packaging that it should not be placed in the dishwasher!!! But I proceeded to try it anyway, since I really liked the idea of a mister and a straw in the same bottle. No matter how I tried, I couldn't get the mister to work either. Nothing came out of the mister. But water leaked out where the top screws onto the bottle. In short, there is nothing to recommend this item. I'm debating whether to go through the hassle of returning it (is it worth the aggravation of shipping it back?). Not sure, but I thought I'd at least prevent someone else from buying it.

great mister Dec 21, 2009

Well, I was looking for a better dough mister than the bottles you can buy at the hardware store. This one fit the bill perfectly. It provides an even spray and the spray is light (not heavy or stream-like). It's perfect for misting loaves either in a proofing bag or in the oven. While I respect that someone might want to stick their water bottle into the dishwasher to sanitize, you can essentially get it very clean with just hot soapy water. Also, my sister tried the straw part and found that it worked very well. So, I would recommend this product, both for the mister and the sip part.

Disappointed Dec 15, 2009
By A. Fisk I was so looking forward to this water bottle for my cycling classes. I thought the spray feature would be awesome. It did not even work for my first class and the straw part gets crimped when closed. Very disappointed.

Mist-er Doesnt Work, Cap leaks at Straw escape Oct 14, 2010
By nitpat Just bought this in the magenta color. I purchased this item through a store, and not Amazon, FYI. I was disappointed to see that the mist function did NOT work (even though I read the warning that said it would take up to 20 - 30 pumps to get the mister to activate). Even worse, when you have the cap rotated to allow the straw to pop out, if you tilt the bottle, water will come out of the straw "hatch". Sometime it did this, sometimes it didnt. I'm guessing the pump is pulling water up into the straw-area-reservoir and it's just not making it through the actual spray device. Whatever. I would not recommend this bottle for all the grief it puts you through. Great idea, poor execution, in my opinion.

Crap Sep 29, 2010
By Richie T Never got a chance to use it...my kid dropped it on the floor right after opening the package and it cracked on the bottom and broke. Piece of crap.
