Dripless baster, a little noisy. Jan 14, 2008
By A. Jost

This baster is by far the best baster I have owned. It doesn't drip. It might be a little noisy when the bulb is released, but it's well worth the fact that it DOESN'T drip. This baster also came with an additional tip (which is a life saver if the other one melts, breaks, etc.) and it also came with a cleaning brush to remove stuck on food debris. Also this baster is dishwasher safe, sometime much needed in a hectic lifestyle. I would buy it again and recommend to everyone.

Many uses, easy cleanup Sep 06, 2009
By C. G. King In addition to being dripless, this baster comes apart easily for cleaning in the dishwasher, so I know it's not harboring any residue from last use. The tip unscrews and fits over a dishwasher spindle, the tube fits over another and the bulb fits over a third. I have confidence that it's really clean before I put it away. The other basters I've had didn't come fully apart, so although I put them in the dishwasher, I never felt comfortable that they were really clean inside.
I'm very pleased with this baster and find I use it more often because I know it's easy to clean thoroughly each time. If I overwater a plant I can suck the extra water out of the saucer, for example. If I've stored a mixed salad in the fridge that has developed some 'juice' at the bottom, I can suck it out. I like to extract pickle or olive juice out of the jar sometimes to add to salad dressings I'm making--easier with this gadget than tipping the jar and holding back the contents while I pour. I find lots of uses now since I'm confident about getting it really clean. A great kitchen tool.

Good till the last drop. Jan 07, 2008
By RenaissanceMan Except for the funny noise when using, works great. Comes apart for cleaning and includes a small brush for cleaning the inside as well.

Way Better than I Expected Jan 10, 2010
By LeslieinCA After years of roasting a turkey for Thanksgiving, and using a giant spoon to 'baste' my turkey I decided to buy this. The other reviews comment on the 'noise' it makes, so I was expecting it to sound as if something was dieing in my kitchen! But much to my delight, the noise was just a little bit deeper/heartier tone of the usual slurp sound typical of these devices. The wonderful part is that it truly does not drip and the juice stays in the tube until you let it out...no more dripping where you don't want to and no more burning your hands on the top of the oven because you are trying to tilt your baster so it won't loose its contents! The brush and the extra tip make this an exceptional buy.

Great for high temperatures Feb 03, 2010
By Ann Grove Great buy. Highly recommended.
I'm guessing that you probably aren't supposed to use a baster to remove hot bacon grease because of the high temperature, and that probably explains why all of my other basters seemed to meet an early demise. What can I say? I blame this bad habit on my mom, who made excellent bacon the same way.
Fortunately, this baster is standing up to the abuse very well.
It comes with a handy little brush that stores in the baster itself, which is handy if it doesn't get clean in the dishwasher. Also, I believe it came with a second tip; the tip screws on. However, I'm not sure I'll ever need it, so I've misplaced it already!
