The BEST extra bold K-cup out there! Jul 28, 2009
By Lance My wife and I love this k-cup. We've tested all the extra bold dark roasts out there. In fact, we did blind taste tests and pitted Timothy's Midnight Magic vs. Green Mountain EB Dark Magic, Gloria Jeans EB Black Gold, Van Houtte's Eclipse EB, Green Mountain EB Espresso Blend, Green Mountain EB Sumatran Reserve, Timothy's EB Parisian Nights, Coffee People EB Organic, Coffee People Jet Fuel, Coffee People EB French Roast, Tully's EB French Roast and Tully's EB Italian Roast. Yes, we honestly tested them all. Many of the other contenders are fine coffees in their own right and without direct comparison to Midnight Magic, they'd be a fine k-cup. But when compared directly with Timothy's Midnight Magic, we found we chose it every time in blind taste tests. It amazed me when my wife picked it every single time. We *do* note that Coffee People's Jet Fuel tasted very similarly to Midnight Magic. All else being equal, we'd purchase which ever one is on sale: CP Jet Fuel or Timothy's Midnight Magic.
There is no way you'd be let down by this k-cup if you *like* extra bold, dark roasted coffee. It's just perfect!
A must buy for Keurig owners!

Best we found to a good espresso cup Aug 25, 2009
By John Lightowler I take coffee very seriously so when I bought my Keurig, I doubted if any K-cup would come close to a real espresso taste. So I tried a large variety of K-cup coffees, usually by buying the variety packs of dark roasts from different vendors, then selecting a few K-cups I liked. In the end,I believe Midnight magic X Bold is the best.
Now my family easily drinks 50 cups a month, so we opted for the Subscribe & Save program bringing the cost to $17.10 or about 34 cents per cup. This is the lowest price we have found and we LOVE the coffee.

Good flavor in the 12-16oz setting. Sep 13, 2009
By Michelle C. Crowley I love my Keurig machine, but you do not always get a good cup of coffee in the larger size settings on these machines. I do not like a weak cup of coffee and this product will give you a descent flavor with the 12 to 16oz setting. The 50 pack is also less packaging to store and I find that very appealing. Definately worth a try if you like Rainforest Espresso in the Timothy's line.

About half of the cups are wasted. Mar 09, 2010
By S. A. Roe The coffee is strong, but its supposed to be. My complaint with it, is that just about every other time I brew it, my coffee cup is full of coffee grounds. So much that you can spoon them out. I have to throw it away. This is the only coffee that has done that so far. I occasionally have had a couple of stray grounds in my cup with other coffees, but this is far from drinkable. I emailed Timothy's to tell them about it and never got a reply. And, as the K-cups are not cheap, I dont think I will be buying this kind again. There are plenty of other dark brews out there.

To each his/her own... Mar 20, 2010
By JJH-V I ordered this on basis of so many rave reviews, and it only proves that everyone has their own taste to satisfy. I found this coffee to be VERY bitter, even with a large dose of creamer, and with an acrid after-taste that I could only get rid of by brushing my teeth. I'll keep what remains to serve to visitors who stay too long, and to use as paint stripper. :-)
My favorite remains to be at this link: Timothy's World Coffee, Rainforest Extra Bold Espresso for Keurig Brewers, 50-Count K-Cups and that's the one I will continue with on my subscription.
