Works great- no problems Dec 07, 2009
By Alan Regala I've been using mine for a few months now, and it works really well for my purposes (cutting paper for projects). It cuts cleanly and is super sharp! One improvement that could make this better is providing a good way to orient the product so you know the blade is pointing down. I ended up putting a black dot (with a Sharpie) on the plastic holding the blade, so it's fine now, but a more elegant solution would be nicer. Another reviewer mentioned that hers fell apart; I'm assuming that hers was defective, since mine has worked perfectly. She should've contacted the manufacturer for a replacement (I always do this successfully with defective items, though I've never had any made by this company).

works fine! Mar 26, 2010

I use it mostly for quick paper cutting and little art projects with the kids (I use it, they don't!). Great for more intricate designs and detail. Not much different than the old x-acto knives I used to buy, but it is very comfortable to hold, cool-looking, and has a nice cap!

I was seduced by the design but performance leaves me wanting... Sep 02, 2010
By S. Lin This is a very attractively designed cutter. Unfortunately, it is not a perfect replacement for an X-acto type knife. I have only been using the knife for a short time so I don't know how well the ceramic blade will keep its sharpness. As an architect who has used many a knife to craft models, etc., I can say that the Slice doesn't compare to an X-acto or other knives which have thinner metal blades that is more maneuverable for curves and follow a ruler's edge much closer for better straight cuts. The Slice should be fine for opening those pesky plastic wrappers or if you aren't too particular about how clean your cuts are.

A bit lacking May 11, 2011
By TexasAgain This cutter cuts some items very well, quite quick and sharp. But, it doesn't do well on things like plastic sheets; doesn't cut all the way through and kind of veers off the path. For paper, it's fine.
