Use them every day Dec 29, 2010
By MittenKnitter I bought this set because I wanted the rocker knife, but have found the long chopper much more useful. The long knife works well on Romaine, iceburg, and bib lettuce; the rocker really only works well with single leaves, like spinach. However, I use them nearly every day and they're holding up well after almost a year of constant use and daily trips through the dishwasher.

Great for veggies and rough cutting for salads. you can let the kids help with the cutting if they use this set, knowing that they would have to try very hard, to injure themselves. This set allows for more family time with the kids, sharing in the prep for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

These are great for chopping vegtables, and fruit, too. They work well especially with lettuce, avoiding brown spots when you have left overs.

I thought I would love this based on the reviews, but I must not be a kitchen expert yet. I revert back to my metal knife and have only used these twice. But again, I'm no pro in the kitchen, so I might have bought "over my head" if you know what I mean!

I have used a similar knife before; however, mine was lost. (I swear one of the cats dragged it off.) So, I bought this as a replacement.
Both items work just as well as you would expect.
I find that when using the knife on lettuce, it saves me both TIME and MONEY.
==>It saves me time by making it so easy to cut up lettuce for a salad that I know eat salads more often.
==>It saves me money since I can make a little lettuce go a long way because I don't have to remove the brown edges (caused by rust left when using a metal knife).
I like that there are 3 options for holding the "oolu" and each one is for a different type of cutting. Very unique.
Every cook should have this set. Extremely good bargain.
