By Don This product is basically exactly what you would imagine, except for one really nice feature: when you twist the top one way, all of the arms automatically form the spiral shown in the image--you don't have to mess with each of them individually to get them where you want. Twist the top the other way and all of the arms line up for storage. The feet that form the tripod base also slide up for storage.

Home made beats store bought every time Mar 28, 2010
By W. C. Waisnor I have been making home made pasta for years and experimented with creative ways to dry it. I finally did some research. After reading lots of descriptions and recommendations I chose to purchase the Marcato. Best recent investment I have made. It works as described, but there are several things worth mentioning. 1. It's made of plastic not wood so there are no worries about what is left behind on the wands 2. It is easy to clean.. 3. The dried pasta easily slides off the wands. 4. It comes with a wand used to transfer the cut pasta from the pasta machine to the drying rack. 5. No worries about moving the wands to the position them. Just rotate the knob at the top clockwise as you need another wand. 6. There is enough space to dry pasta for 8 servings. 7. Comes in a box that you use to store it between uses.

Wonderful - Worth the Extra Price! Apr 22, 2010

Pasta making is something we are just beginning to get serious about so I started to order the less expensive wood models rather than shelling out the extra for this upgraded drying rack. However, at the last minute the 4/3 promotion on the other rack was cancelled and the reviews were mixed so I opted instead for this one (4/3 promotion helped reduce the cost too!).
Glad I did! This is a one piece system that sets up in less than a minute - ditto for storage. No need to chase after different parts or worry about stability. The base opens like a tripod for stability. The top spins to open all the arms plus there is a built-in lifter. Very easy to clean, super simple to store and a sturdy build make this a pleasure to use. Should be the last one you will need to buy and provides plenty of space to make extra pasta.

Pasta Drying Rack-Marcato Feb 01, 2010
By Coach This drying rack is everything they said it would be. It is easy to use, nice enough to leave out, but folds away quickly for storage. We make pasta about once per week and this is our favorite. Even if you don't make pasta as often, this rack is still the best bet for getting pasta on and off the rods. I have a friend who is a chef and she agreed that this rack for the home is great. If you are making massive quantities, you should probably look elsewhere, but this works for us, as we can do several batches over the course of a day and each batch dries before we are ready for the next batch. Definitely a good buy.
