a taste of Europe Aug 18, 2008
By Andrew-David Bjork I've been looking for a coffee that taste like home ever since I left France. If you brew this in a normal old drip, you will achieve that perfect bold, rich, smooth coffee that you find in every French household! The beans look extremely light colored, and yet they produce one of the darkest cups of coffee you will ever have. Oh, what a pleasure!!

Gran Filtro, love it! Nov 18, 2009
By Susi Great coffee if you grind and prepare it properly. I set my Kitchen Aid Burr grinder on the grind (7.5) one step down from espresso grind so it's very fine but not powdery. When I tried to grind it more coarse the coffee didn't taste good. Then I use my drip coffee maker with a cone (not basket) filter and make a full pot. I found if you make only half a pot the coffee doesn't devolop the same aroma. I use a heaping half cup of whole beans, grind them for a 12/8 cup coffee maker (average size coffee maker). This coffee hits the spot 100 %, no complaints. No burned bean taste, no bitter taste, just a nice, smooth cup of coffee.

The Best in the Land Jul 31, 2009

I was out of town, at a Hilton hotel, and they left samples of LavAzza gran filtro in the room for us. I was skeptical, since so many times the coffee that hotels serve is barely drinkable, but, I tried this, and was immediately a fan! Lavazza is the sweetest, most delicious coffee I've ever had in my 53 years of living. Not a bit of that nasty acidic aftertaste, even if you leave your drink out overnight! Something I tend to do, when on the 2nd cup. Lavazza gran filtro is the best coffee in the USA, in my humble opinion. You will not be disappointed, you'll be amazed after you partake of this delicacy.

This is the best coffee I have ever tasted. Full flavor but not bitter. Can not locate in any store - must go to specialty shops or purchase at a better price on line.

Luv-r-Lavazza Mar 03, 2010
By love-r-oats Lavazza coffee suits our taste better than anything else we've bought for home brewing. It has the depth of taste of a good coffee without the bitterness than can accompany some. It's hard to make a bad cup of coffee with this brand. We're Lavazza fans.
