Good, solid steak knives Mar 11, 2012
By Megavolt17 These are forged, not stamped knives so they feel heavier and more solid. They are well made and the rosewood handles are thicker making them more square than typical knives. This makes them easier to hold and control. The finish is good but the rosewood handles are not shiny as the LamsonSharp kitchen knives are. Perhaps this is to give a better grip, but I was surprised that they do not more closely match the rosewood handled kitchen knives made by the same company,
They are pricy but should last a lifetime. The company will replace them if worn or damaged and will sharpen them for free. The knives are serrated and the serrations are wider than typical knives. The bevel and serrations are on one side only (left as you hold the knife). The larger serrations seem to allow the knives to cut through steak without ripping pieces off the steak as happens with some knives.
