Cook For The Cure? Aug 05, 2008
By Laurel Gardens
"Gourmet Cook"
Having bought EVERY pink item in the last several months. I was dismayed to discover that none of the money was going to CFTC just because I had bought them. Seems that in VERY small print on the hang tag, there is a disclaimer. You have to go online and register the product. Only then will KitchenAid fork over the Money...... Yes for something as small as a set of measuring cups or a knife, you have to register.
Of course I discovered this long after I had thrown away the hang tags. So I went to LOWES and wrote down the UPC from the items they still stocked there. They were out of several items I have and didn't know if they were getting any more. So now I am off to the mall kitchen store. Wish me luck. Oh and SAVE those hang tags.
I am posting this same complaint on every kitchenaid item at amazon
Ice Cream Scoop Jul 09, 2011
By Shanahan This is the best ice cream scoop! It is dishwaher safe (so far so good anyways) and It doesn't have anywhere that holds water after you wash it (I hate that!) so it's #1 in my book!
Great Ice Cream Scoop May 01, 2011
By R. Yee I just purchased the KitchenAid Cook For The Cure Ice Cream Scoop, Pink. I was pleasantly surprised, it is one of the best ice cream scoops I have ever owned. I love the pink "Cook for Cure" color; I can find it in the drawer easily. The handle and the weight of the scoop are great for the perfect rounded scoop. I have been searching for the perfect scooper, this just may be it!
Can get cheaper elsewhere... Jun 07, 2008
By musicgal Nice scoop - thought it had a push-out thingie to eject the ice cream, but it's a simple scoop. Still nice. However, this exact scoop can be bought at TJ Maxx or Home Goods for $3.99. I saw it there recently. Nice scoop, but $10 is basically "regular price" for it.
Excellent Ice Cream Scoop Apr 26, 2008
By Stephanie Manley This has to be one of the better ice cream scoops I have used in years. This was replacing one of the ones that had antifreeze in the handle. The one thing I did not like about the the old scoop was that the amount you took out at any time was small. This scoop can be used diagonally or vertically to vary how much ice cream you are taking out with one scoop.
This ice cream scoop is heavy and very sturdy. I have a feeling this will be the last one that I will ever need. I believe the sturdiness of this scoop makes it much easier to get the ice cream out of tight spaces. I am extremely pleased with my new ice cream scoop and I hope you would be too!
