By C. Keagy I have been keeping a few of these in my brown sugar bags, and they have all returned from a rock-like consistency to like-new. I'm giving them to everyone I know. The packaging also says that if you dry them out, they help keep things crisp (like chips and cereal).

By Karen L. Chandler I have used a brown sugar disk for years but the Brown Sugar Bear is a little thicker and heavier, works much better and is so cute. It is amazing. I put it in a container of brown sugar that I had to break into pieces. It was not "hard as a rock" but close. The next morning it was soft and easy to pack. I also keep one in a container of raisins and one in the Craisins. I purchased twelve and gave 6 to family. Now I have to decide where to use the other three.

I had no idea that there was a way to keep your brown sugar from clumping up, but my wife wanted this so what the heck. First of all the pacakaging is very cheap and when my amazon box came the bear had escaped the package and was loose in the box. The size is about the size of a sugar cookie and bigger than what i expected. It also seemed kind of flimsy. However all of this is moot because the bear does what it is designed to do and it takes moisture out of the air and keeps the brown sugar loose and not clumpy. I have already bought several bears as gifts.
