5actually three blades, one knife  Dec 25, 2008 By dpk-VT
My wife got a large box of grapefruit for the holidays, and I wanted a curved blade knife like me mum used when I was a kid. My wife was watching me using the curved blade to make all the cuts, but pointed out the purpose of the other end. (Duh). The other end is actually two straight blades separated by a mm, and that slides along the membranes of the sections. Then use the curved blade along the outer circumference. Works like a charm. Wooden handle is nice. And not made in China (okay, Taiwan, but not China.) Bargain for the price.

5For breakfast perfection  Jul 04, 2010 By Jaylia3
Although I am not very coordinated, with this inexpensive tool it's been easy to turn grapefruit into beautiful, self-contained (not raggedy or leaky) segments--which is a surprisingly pleasant way to start breakfast. I always clean the knife as soon as I am done and have never had any trouble removing debris from between the two blades.

5Great grapefruit knife...  Apr 22, 2009 By It's Giovanni "Gio"
This grapefruit/citrus knife is great. The dual blades make cutting a grapefruit quick and easy. I was so impressed with it that I bought 4 more to give as gifts for family and friend who like grapefruits. I have one at home and one at the office. The best grapefruit knife I've ever used or owned. I highly recommend it to everyone. It was also shipped to me very promptly. Great product...

3Too Complicated  Jan 07, 2010 By a person who appreciates people giving reviews
The main overwhelming pro is that the quality of this knife is great for the price. The cons revolve around the design. The wooden handle between either end is small and narrow. Fortunately I have tiny hands, but I couldn't imagine anyone else having a comfortable grasp without part of their palm gripping whatever end blade they aren't using. The double blade side seems like a good idea to cut between segments (liths), but unless you take the time to properly guide it, it cuts into the meat of the grapefruit instead, leaving meat to still cling to the liths. I would have been happy with just the curved blade, which I can easily maneuver around each pulp piece. Grapefruit pieces are too small to have to fuss with flipping the knife to get the right blade. Overall, this is one of the cheapest knives I've seen, and I'd rather get this one than dish out $15 for one that's slightly better.

4Best little kitchen tool I bought  Dec 04, 2009 By compudoc
small easy to handle, does what it is made to do,,, no squart on the knife cut and great cut on the curved side. Might have a bit of a problem on large grapefruits because the knife ends are on the short side..
