This beautiful porcelain teapot has a 32-ounce capacity and features the classic Blue Willow design. The Blue Willow design depicts the charming and legendary old Chinese Blue Willow Story. The story is about an angry father pursuing his eloping daughter. At the end, the father finds the maiden and her lover on a bridge, and before his eyes, they transform into love birds and fly away together. The lovebirds can be seen on all Blue Willow designs. Keeping with the classic design, ever-present are the willows, the house where the lovers resided, the house to which they fled, the bridge where they were transformed - all of the central motifs of the Blue Willow story are in the design of this Blue Willow piece. The Blue Willow design is stencil etched on by hand then fired, creating a beautiful and long lasting finish. To maintain the lovely finish, do not place in microwave or oven. Hand wash recommended. Includes porcelain infuser; great with loose leaf teas.

1Poor shipping practice  Apr 25, 2008 By Lenora Laverty "Red Hat Momma"
I was looking forward to receiving this teapot with infuser. Unfortunately, it came in broken. It was a very poor job of packing on both the manufacturer and Amazon. The minute I picked up the package, and heard the rattling, I knew I was minus a teapot.

Fortunately, Amazon did give me a total refund for this. I sincerely hope that someone is looking at the shipping practices of both the manufacturer, who should have padded the teapot and infuser separately, and Amazon for not adding additional airpillows for a very breakable item.

From what I could tell the teapot was okay. The problem that I could see was that the lid did not have an extened lip to hold on to the pot while tea was being poured. You would have to hold it with your free hand while pouring.

5Awesome Teapot!  Jul 06, 2011 By Denis Le Menoir
Having read the other reviews I was worried this would arrive broken but actually the packaging was pretty good and everything was in perfect condition. The size of the teapot is perfect to get 2-3 big cups out of it. It's looks great and lots of people at work have commented on it. Further, the infuser makes tea-making very convenient. All in all, great product, 5*.

5blue willow tea pot  Feb 24, 2009 By Diane Fish "Diane Fish "civil war cook""
I am very pleased with my purchase. The tea pot arrived quickly, in perfect condition and is the size I was looking for.

3not bad for made in China  Feb 14, 2012 By J. J. Emmel
It's made in China, a tad small, but not bad for tea for 2. If you want something better, check out Polish Pottery. Bigger & better made in my opinion.

1Arrived Broken (Twice)  Jan 12, 2012 By Egor
Received the teapot with a broken infuser, returned it for a replacement, the replacement arrived broken in exactly the same way. The packaging is not sufficient for the infuser. I returned for a refund.
