Works well, but not a must-have Apr 12, 2010
By Gian Pablo Villamil This is a really interesting product, and I was initially attracted to it because it looks like some kind of alien seed pod.
As a kitchen accessory, it works great for eggs, but is somewhat awkward to work with for vegetables. The opening in the top is a little narrow if you're cooking a lot of food.

Nifty gadget that does what it claims to do. Mar 06, 2010
By Ann Huffman I really like this Pod. It is good for draining its contents and it keeps things from scorching in glass cook pots. Some small items may slip through the holes so use pasta etc. in a shape to avoid that problem. It is a great thing to have in the kitchen....and it makes me laugh every time I see it as it is sort of goofy looking. When I show it to people, none of them have any idea how it is used.

The holes are huge! Mar 11, 2010
By Summer B. Frace I got this thinking I could boil frozen mixed veggies quickly. Unfortunately, that's out of the question as the holes on this are really really big. The peas, cut carrots, corn, and green beans will just float right through. It's good for much larger cut up veggies like broccoli, large carrot hunks, etc. It says on the package it can hold 1 dozen eggs. I haven't tried it, but it's certainly large enough. It's much larger than I anticipated. I wish they made a mini version.

silicone steamer review May 11, 2010
By B. Lancaster Product is good...bought it to use on a sailboat and it is great for that...no metal parts to clang around or rust...compact storage...only thing i disliked is the size of the opening at top...It is small for getting the vegetables out...I would probably buy it again if the price was a little lower but i would not buy it again for the price i did.

Disappointing May 09, 2010

This tool is a good idea, but this application fails. It is awkward to use, bulky to store, and ultimately not worth while. A tight lid cannot be put on a pot while using it, and it is difficult to get open when filled with hot food. I have given it to my grandchildren to see what they do with it--something more useful than trying to cook veggies, I'm sure.
