5Fantastic Kitchen Tool  Sep 01, 2009 By Sasha L. Maddox
I bought this with one meal in mind, but I find that I use it for many, many of my dishes. I even use it to tie herbs together for soups and slow cooker meals, which cuts down on prep and removal time.

1Not as easy as it looks.  Oct 09, 2011 By catchnoball
I was excited to see this on sale on Amazon, thought the days of struggling with twine was over, after all, how easy would this be? Not so. Found out very quickly that the ends do not stay together. More often than not, they'd come undone during the baking process. I went through 2 chicken roasting experiences to finally give up using this. Right now it's just sitting pretty in the kitchen drawer till the next yard sale.

1Absolute waste of money. Landfill.  Jan 16, 2011 By peggy
I purchased some thinking that it would make trussing a bird easier. No, it just ruined my bird as I had to re-truss with good old fashioned cooking twine; the little nicks that are meant to hold the band in place, with any resistance from the meat, just slip to the end so that the bird isn't properly sealed/trussed. Also, any oil (e.g. for basting/browning) coming into contact with these means that they just slip off. A complete and absolute waste of money.

5These are a new favorite iteam in my kitchen!  Sep 26, 2008 By Just Mom
They are easy to use and easy to clean. They even come with a small net bag to store them in. They best part in no missed pieces of string in your food.

2Nice idea poorly executed  Dec 09, 2009 By Ed Jones
I bought these as an alternative to butchers' twine for trussing chickens and turkeys. The grip is too weak to properly secure wings or legs for rotisserie use. If you don't need a tight loop on your food then they will probably work fine. Otherwise, save your money and use butchers' twine.
