Proper storage of your cheese helps to preserve the purity of its flavor. Plastic wrap, foil and other non-porous materials suffocate and kill cheese, altering its flavors and accelerating spoilage. Formaticum's two-ply Cheese Paper simulates the cave environment where cheese is traditionally aged. It allows cheese to breath while maintaining an optimal humidity. Formaticum Cheese Paper keeps your cheese tasting fresher longer. Package of twelve 11 by 14-inch cheese papers and twenty four adhesive labels.

A great new product to save your cheese! Feb 21, 2010
By andiesenji First I have to say that I love cheese and I purchase a lot - some very expensive. I have tried various cheese "keepers" for storing cheese, tried many types of wraps and packages and except for my "antique" glass cheese keeper that requires the use of diluted vinegar in the bottom, I have not been happy with any.
I came across this product a while back, in the catalog of a cheese retailer, and ordered a package to try because I hate losing even a small amount of an expensive cheese.
It works! I used it to wrap some cheeses that are notorious for rapid hardening and/or molding (undesirable mold) and I was very pleased to find that this product works better, with less mess and less waste than anything else I have tried.
I'm ordering more, so I won't run out and also have sent some to my daughter, also a fan of cheese.

You say you love cheese, but what have you done for it lately Nov 16, 2010

I love cheese.
I mean I really love cheese... specifically your clothbound cheddars and your wensleydales. The worst thing is to go to Whole Foods, take your time picking out a $20+ cheese only to go home and have them harden, deteriorate in texture and taste the very next day because of the whole foods butcher paper.
Cheese paper works. My Jasper Hill Cabot Clothbound Cheddar stays frim and craggly, just like it was meant to.
My only minor complaint is that now that I label my cheese, I can see how much cheese I eat and how quickly...it aint pretty folks.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT FOR CHEESE LOVERS Jul 29, 2011
By bradysix I am so pleased with this item. I am a big cheese lover and this really does solve the storage problem associated with cheese. It keeps the cheese fresh and flavorful. The sheets can be easily adjusted to the size of your cheese, so you can use one sheet for more than one block. In doing so, the sheets last a long time and you get a lot for your money. I highly recommend this product!

Cheese Paper Sep 08, 2011

I really like these papers, have been using them for a couple of years now. Someone in another review said you could use wax paper - maybe, but for one thing, the "waxy" part of these is much thinner than wax paper I have used, and coupled with the paper backing on these, really helps them wrap tightly around your cheese. Actually I think the "waxy" part of these is porous so that the cheese can "breathe", I don't know that wax paper would provide the same benefit.
