Far superior to the others Nov 27, 2010
By Marcia A. Colianni I rec'd one of these as a gift a couple of years ago . I love it. It works far better than a plain old can or wire frame one. Much easier to clean, just soak in hot water. I use it in the oven too and just drape one of those cooking bags over it loosely which prevents spatters all over the oven. Great gift, this year I bought seven!!

By a reader from San Mateo We love beer can chicken but when I learned the linings in beer cans contain bisphenol a that can leach into our food I was so happy to find this safer alternative. It's broader base makes the chicken more stable on the grill and it cleans up in the dishwasher. I looked at some of the metal versions but most come in two pieces where the column is welded or tacked to the base and several people made comments about some of them leaking over time. Not so with this ceramic version. I'm ordering a second one for when everyone comes for dinner.
