Square is good Aug 07, 2009
By V. Vanderbent
"always curious"
I can tell I'm on to something when my wife condemns me for buying a strange looking product like this square brush (which replaced an oval shaped brush that was temporarily out of stock on Amazon) and then goes on to use it anyway... This may seem like a trivial thing to you, but if perfection in the kitchen is your goal like it is my wife's, then you can't go wrong. This brush has sturdy bristles that hold up well when used for what it is meant to do, and it surprisingly gets into hard to reach place in my pots and pans. Well designed, great product.
The bristles are TOO stiff. Jun 26, 2009
By Monchin While I like it for scrubbing my fingernails after handling meat, and scraping caked-on food from a plate, that's about *all* I can do with it.
The bristles don't bend or flex at all, so whatever I clean has to be totally flat, and I have to follow up with the softer dish brush I got at IKEA.
I had bought this brush expecting to replace my IKEA brush with it, but the bristles are so stiff that I can't actually use it to wash my dishes. Even if the brush scrapes off most of the caked-on food, the bristles miss a lot of the mess, and I end up having to use my IKEA brush anyway.
Basically, while this brush has two uses in my kitchen (fingernail cleaning and plate scraping), I'd honestly rather have the individual products made specifically for those uses. Cuisinart is a brand I trust, but this brush was a rare disappointment.
