Works Very Well On Pots and Pans - for which it was designed May 01, 2010
By Citizen John This kitchen brush is designed to deal with difficult to clean pots and pans. It's better at that than typical kitchen brushes because the bristles are firmer, denser and shorter.
The brush even has a hard plastic scraper edge on the head above the bristles. The hand grip is firm and the angle of the entire handle is shaped for tough scrubbing as it's more an extension of the elbow. Typical kitchen brushes have handles shaped to be an extension of the wrist and are made for brushing, not scrubbing.
I don't think this is the primary kitchen brush. This brush compliments the main brush by specializing in tougher tasks.
As for price, I think it's fair especially considering this is not always an easy to find item.
My suggestions for other helpful items that I actually purchased:
A large dish drying mat - comes in package of 3: Garden Botanika The Original Dish Drying Mat, 16 X 18 Inches (Pack of 3).
A bamboo cutting board with high-quality built-in rubber feet: Architec The Gripper Bamboo Cutting Board, 11 by 14-Inch.

I purchased this brush to for the express purpose to use on dishes as the name indicates. The soft grip handle, and over all design is good, but the bristles on the brush are way way too stiff. The brush is better suited for scrubbing baked on, dried on food from pots and pans, not dishes and glassware.

By Chris209 This is probably too stiff to wash normal but I use this for my cast iron skillet. Its been working flawlessly for almost a year. The bristles are stiff and are easy to clean (even after they are completely black from the cast iron).

Bought this because it matches the dishrack set we picked up at Target a few years ago (hard to find Rubbermaid dishrack in black), and the original brush was getting a bit manky.
What else can I say? Works great. 'Nuff said.
