Wagnerware and Other Companies Jan 23, 2001
By Van A. Heard I found this book useful in identifying types of Wagnerware mainly by pictures in the book. I found it very lacking in substitive information. I needed information on which peices are easily found, hard to find and what kind of condition to look for, years of production for individual peices, etc. This book by itself does not give enough information to help a novice or new collector discover what is collectable and what is not. Had I known the contents before buying, I would have bought another reference instead.

many different companies represented at various price ranges May 07, 1998 Overall the book has some excellent research information. The book is a great investment for the collector looking to sell his/her product. Just be on the look out because some of the suggest prices are slightly higher than market value. It is a great reference holder for Wagner ware and the variety of other companies that produced wonderful holloware over the past 150 years.

Collectors Guide to Wagner Ware and Other Companies with Prices Jun 13, 2006

Save your money. This book has almost no information in it. The book contains only pictures with few dates and some old prices which don't take into consideration the condition of the item. It is very incomplete. I have a dozen Wagner skillets and couldn't find any meaningful mention of them in this book. I wanted to learn about the products that Wagner produced and when each series was manufactured. This book doesn't have any of that information in it. I hope I can find a book that does! Anybody want a used book for half off?
The other great reference on Cast Iron Cookware Dec 13, 2011
By T. Scheer The Collectors Guide to Wagner Ware and Other Companies with prices is the other must have reference for buyers, sellers, and collectors of vintage cast iron cookware. It helped me find and buy a piece I am very excited about that is worth $95-125 for $31. That more than pays for the book! Plus, if you are into old cast cookware, it is fun to look through. I have been able to identify the approximate production dates of most of the pans I already had.
