Knives Dec 28, 2009
By Michael C
"Mick"
Bought three and this particular knife is my all rounder, Chicago cutlery lasts twice as long, easily than other brands, stays sharper longer and replaces my last decade of Chicago knives. It's hard to go wrong with the price and quality product.
Update:09/27/11
OOPS. What happened? The original set came in a blue package, the two this time came in green and although the blade was the same, I don't like the new handle feel too much. I have bought several of these and this time I'm slightly disappointed in the feel and grip of the handle. When something simply works, don't change it.
Cheers

Good Knife Mar 12, 2010

This knife is very "hand friendly" - balanced well and has a good cutting edge. Holds its edge about as well as any I've had. Found it very useful. Amazon has it priced quite inexpensively.

Not quite like original Oct 10, 2011
By P. Christensen Admittedly my original, well-used and loved Chicago Cutlery knife set is over 25 years old, so perhaps some of the smoothness comes over time. However, in this one both the wood and the metal feel rougher and of lower quality than the old one. The handle is also about 1/4 inch shorter; the combination of shorter handle and slightly longer blade makes it a little less comfortable in handling. All in all, it is a very acceptable knife; it just loses in the comparison contest with its original.

Utility Knife Mar 28, 2010
By Linda Smith This size knife is the best I have used to cut meat off the bones and this knife stays sharp enough for the work I have done with it.
