To complete your salad prep, the new Chef’n Salad Spinners are great for quickly drying lettuce and herbs. The Salad Spinners have a unique, easy-to-use lever spinning system, which locks in place when not in use. The non-skid base keeps the Salad Spinners in place, while a convenient “stop” button offers control. Once the lettuce is dry, use the LeafShears™ to cut the lettuce for a perfect salad and then use the elegant acrylic Salad Spinner bowl for serving.

Effective and cute! May 09, 2009
By Meghan Kelly I love colorful kitchen gadgets so I was really excited to purchase this salad spinner. I was reluctant to spend money on one and was content to use the $5 I had from Walmart.. which did the bare minimum and no more. This Chef'n salad spinner works perfectly and the best part (which was a problem with my last spinner) is the rubber on the bottom which keeps it from slipping on the counter. Really convenient to store as well.

Great device! Dec 20, 2008
By Keith D Purchased the Chef'n Salad Spinner recently since I started growing all types of lettuce this winter in my cold frame. The device works great, very simple to operate and clean. Definitely one of my better purchases this year!

Salad spinner Jul 04, 2009
By Precious Built well and works great. It replaces one that was pulled by cord and the cord broke in less then 6 months. This one is built better and works great.

Fantastic Kitchen Tool Nov 06, 2009

I bought this particular salad spinner because it was the right size to fit in the produce drawer of my refrigerator as well as the good reviews it has received. It works as well as advertised and makes creating salads easier and more entertaining. Anything that resembles a centrifuge that I can prepare meals with is a winner in my book!
I've owned a couple other salad spinners before, all of which used a pull cord to power them. This spinner uses a pump handle which seems a superior design since my previous spinners failed when the cord eventually wore out and broke. On the flip side, this design has more moving parts and it seems like that could cause a problem if the gears get worn.
The only thing I don't really like about this spinner is that the break used to stop the spinning strainer is just a rubber button that you press to apply as a friction break. It works, but not especially well--although you don't really need it much anyway.
Overall this is a well designed, aesthetically pleasing and useful kitchen tool. I really like it and would happily recommend it.
