3Inconsistent  Aug 22, 2008 By R. Grenier "no cookbook rookie"
This book is a crazy mix of complicated/survivalist-type make-your-own frying pans and reflector ovens (out of sticks and tin foil!) and EXTREME basics such as how to make a hot dog -- along with a "suggested list" of hot dog toppings such as ketchup, mustard, and onions. Some recipes are really good and simple, some are ridiculous. I like it but some of the more obvious recipes are annoying.

2ordinary recipes  Apr 28, 2008 By K. Ruhl
Recipes are ordinary bordering on too simple. Really nothing amazing in the whole thing. I was very dissappointed. Perhaps for someone who has never cooked or camped before...

A good reciepe book. Though for family / basecamp cooking, not for back pack cooking.

5GREAT!  Feb 04, 2012 By Donald M. Baxter

5Campfire treasure  Jan 07, 2010 By N. Plumblee "@WWW.MyMotorcycleAdvisor.com"
Whether out camping, trail riding or just a campfire at home this book has some super ideas that we just don't think about. Make your campfire time special by making the food your prepare what your guests rave about.
