best glassware out there Sep 08, 2009
By sweetpastry89 We've owned these for a few years now. The best glassware we've used. Regular glassware if they fell, would most likely break, and sometimes in the dishwasher glasses would chip. NOT THESE!!! Of course if you drop them enough they will break, but we've had none break yet, and we are clumpsy. They are very sturdy. they have a unique design. Heavy weighted.

Nice drinking glasses Jan 03, 2010
By Tonya Engst I ordered these glasses a few days before Thanksgiving because I needed them for Thanksgiving dinner. Because Amazon offers only a few glasses of this general sort via Amazon Prime, it was easy to decide on these - I liked the unusual shape. Now that I've had them for a month or so, I'm back to order 12 more. The somewhat unusual shape makes them pleasant to hold and easier to hang on to. I also like how the light goes through the glass - it has the same warbling effect as old glass. Nothing has broken yet and they seem reasonably solid.

We got eight of these (and eight old-fashioned, slightly larger in diameter). Great looking glasses; not ridiculously thin or absurdly heavy. Feel great in the hand. They're also sturdy. I dropped a mobile phone on one twice and it made a ringing noise (the glass, not the phone ;) ) and was fine. The indentations make it very pleasant to hold in the hand. Each glass is obviously cast since the indendations are precisely the same on all the glasses we got. We're probably getting 4 more since we like them so much and would like to ensure against future breakage.

By Avid Reader I needed to get some new glasses, as all of my old ones have broken recently. I thought these looked interesting, so I decided to the try them. I can't vouch for their strength, as I've only been using them about 2 months, but we haven't broken any yet. The glass is NOT flimsy. They're sturdy with some weight to them - the bottom is quite thick. The top (the rim) of the glass is round, although the base is irregularly shaped. It was hard to tell from the photo, but the glass is twisted and dented and unusual all the way up the glass - very interesting! Overall these glasses are refreshing and unique and I'm quite glad I purchased them.
