Bormioli Rocco Rock Bar ROCKS! Oct 25, 2009
By Kita The Bormioli Rocco Rock Bar collection is a boon for my kitchen, family and guests. I can store enough in my small cupboards to allow me to rinse and wait till the dishwasher is full to run, and still have enough for the next family meal or snack. For company I prefer not to use disposable products and this collection allows for enough glassware to be available for a crowd of guests! Thank you Bormioli and Amazon.
The 16.25 oz. glasses are perfect for the "big guys" with big hands. (I've sometimes wondered, watching guys reach for a glass of soda, if they feel they are living in a miniature world. Not with these glasses!) They are also perfect for smoothies, ice cream sodas, special sundaes.
The 12.5 oz. is perfect for that all purpose beverage with ice - water, soda. iced tea (yes, I know there are special glasses for that), or a big helping of juice.
The 9 oz. is the all-purpose glass for me. Not too much, not too little. I find I use this one most often. It is especially useful when you want to allow people to fill their glass, and ask for more; as opposed to fill a glass and not finish.
The 6.75 oz. juice glass is a standard in my household. Every youngster can get a good grip on this glass and enjoy a beverage.
The 2.5 oz. shot glass is, I thought, of little use to me, but I recently picked up a set on sale at a local store. Why? They are too cute. I recently used one for a granddaughter who wanted a drink of water at bedtime. It worked. I'll come up with some other uses --- how about filling with dip for small snack before bedtime?
Then there's the 13.25 oz. double old-fashioned glass. Have not purchased these yet. They feel like a shorter version of the 16.25 oz. glass; a good feel for those with bigger hands or perfect for a short cocktail. Envision it to be perfect for a Manhattan-on-the-rocks.
Bottom line is, for me, this line of glasses is so good that I spent all this time to talk about it.

great set of glasses, size and shape are good and if you have a tile floor like me if you happen to drop one they shatter into little cubes versus pointy shards. Nice for safety as I have pets and the kids stop by too.

Love'em! as they are the perfect size for a glass of milk Aug 30, 2011
By Penmouse With prices going up, milk is now over $4 a gallon, I've taken to using these glasses to serve milk. These are the perfectly sized glasses for a glass of milk as there is a little room at the top to prevent accidental spillage.
We also use these glasses in the bathroom, no more disposable paper cups, to help cut costs on buying paper cups. I guess we've gone green too.
As for durability: We have the tall iced tea type glasses (16 to 17 oz. size) and the juice glasses (6 oz.) and all have stood daily use. These glasses are tossed in the dishwasher and not one has broken.
It's so nice to be able to purchase sturdy, thick walled glasses. In other words, these glasses are NOT like the thin walled glasses you'll find at the discount department store.
They are worth the few extra cents as you will be getting more mileage for your dollar.
