Bormioli Rocco Rock Bar ROCKS! Oct 25, 2009
By Kita The Bormioli Rocco Rock Bar collection is a boon for my kitchen, family and guests. I can store enough in my small cupboards to allow me to rinse and wait till the dishwasher is full to run, and still have enough for the next family meal or snack. For company I prefer not to use disposable products and this collection allows for enough glassware to be available for a crowd of guests! Thank you Bormioli and Amazon.
The 16.25 oz. glasses are perfect for the "big guys" with big hands. (I've sometimes wondered, watching guys reach for a glass of soda, if they feel they are living in a miniature world. Not with these glasses!) They are also perfect for smoothies, ice cream sodas, special sundaes.
The 12.5 oz. is perfect for that all purpose beverage with ice - water, soda. iced tea (yes, I know there are special glasses for that), or a big helping of juice.
The 9 oz. is the all-purpose glass for me. Not too much, not too little. I find I use this one most often. It is especially useful when you want to allow people to fill their glass, and ask for more; as opposed to fill a glass and not finish.
The 6.75 oz. juice glass is a standard in my household. Every youngster can get a good grip on this glass and enjoy a beverage.
The 2.5 oz. shot glass is, I thought, of little use to me, but I recently picked up a set on sale at a local store. Why? They are too cute. I recently used one for a granddaughter who wanted a drink of water at bedtime. It worked. I'll come up with some other uses --- how about filling with dip for small snack before bedtime?
Then there's the 13.25 oz. double old-fashioned glass. Have not purchased these yet. They feel like a shorter version of the 16.25 oz. glass; a good feel for those with bigger hands or perfect for a short cocktail. Envision it to be perfect for a Manhattan-on-the-rocks.
Bottom line is, for me, this line of glasses is so good that I spent all this time to talk about it.

Juice Glasses, small but nice! May 29, 2009
By Vicky L. Thomas
"Cossino"
They do stack and are attractive. Seem smaller than you would expect, but they do hold the amounts they describe...note that the do hold only 6 oz (3/4 cup). None of mine were broken on arrival, but I was surprised as the "packing" was minimal. I like them and am glad I bought them. I have not broken one so I can't comment on them being tempered (thankfully) yet.

Good, solid, cheap glasses Aug 04, 2008
By Chris Generic and solidly made glasses, not the thin cheap stuff, just the sort of glass you get your water in at restaurants.

As close to the perfect glass as you'll find Sep 06, 2010
By SoothSeeker Wow, now I'm glad my juice glasses were running low and I had to find a new set -- these! Okay, here's why I like them: 1 the glass is thick and clear enough to give a feeling of quality. 2 they stack better than any other glasses I've seen without sticking. 3. they're quite a bit wider at the top than the bottom which makes it possible for me to put two large ice cubes in even the juice glasses and fill with milk for a cookie & milk snack without wasting a lot of milk. 4. they have a nonagonal (I had to look this, up, e.g., one more side than an octagon) shape at the bottom which gives a secure grip and makes them easy to hold onto even when soapy and spin a washcloth in them and they're round on the inside, i.e., no edges as on the outside! That, along with the wider top, makes them easy to clean glasses. Those who design glasses narrower at the top than the bottom don't have to wash them. 5 They look good and 6 They feel good in the hand.
Liked these so well I got another set of juice glasses, a set of the double old-fashioned and the 9 ounce size as well. As someone else said it's (the nine ounce size) the one we'll use the most and better to have someone ask for a refill, if necessary, than glasses half full all over. In fact, I use the juice glasses sometimes rather than even the nine ounce size to cut back on my soft drinks.

pretty nice glasses Jun 01, 2010
By Dwide Schrude I bought these for my parents because their juice glasses were all scratched from the dish washer. These were smaller than I hoped, but they stack great and take up such a small amount of cupboard space. They also look really nice and are not too dainty-they are sturdy enough for toddlers to use. These have held up nicely in the dishwasher so far--two months and no scratches.
