Beautiful Drinkware Set Apr 29, 2006

When I was shopping for amenities for my new home, I came across this set at Bloomindale's. I was drawn to the sleek beauty of these glasses, as well as their heavy and rugged design. Recently, when I went out to a bar located at a high-end hotel in the city, I noticed that even they used Galassia drinkware. A good sign!
I would highly recommed this set, even for home use, as it provides a sleek, sexy look to any table setting. Guests will be impressed, as many house guests of mine have commented on my drinkware.
A note for Amazon: I have been contacting customer service for about 2 years regarding the often shoddy packaging that these glasses arrive in. I have received more than a few sets of shattered glasses. When you send fragile items to your customers, you need to use the proper packaging materials, key word: bubble-wrap. This will save you a lot of time and money. I cannot emphasize this to you enough. I realize that this comment is not directed at the quality of the item that I am reviewing, but it is important for me to be able to share this with other shoppers on the site, so that Amazon can improve its level of service, and so that other customers can have comfort in knowing that they are not the only people who are experiencing trouble when ordering fragile items on the site.

"Painted Lady"
I came looking for another set. They are heavy but elegant. The best part is the design of the bottom. Water drains cleanly from the glasses and they come out sparkling.

By K. Manthey I really like these glasses. They are pretty and functional. The reason I did not rate them five stars is because they are extremely slippery and hard to hold on to when wet. They have to be loaded into the dishwasher very carefully. Also, they are a little narrower at the top than I would like them to be. This makes them unstable when you turn them upside down in the dishwasher.

By Books n More of WNY These glasses have a nice weight, attractive appearance and knobby feet that allow for water to escape from the bottom in the dishwasher as well as nest bottom to bottom in the cupboard.
