By WW In the holiday rush I inadvertently ordered two toast tongs. This one and the Harold Import 43211 Bamboo Toast Tong. This one was 12" long, which turns out to be ridiculously long for fishing toast out of a toaster. The Harold Import 43211 Bamboo Toast Tong is 6.5in which is a more appropriate length. I returned the long one and kept the short one.

By Blumenmom This item is absolutely wonderful; and this is the third one I have purchased. It is flexible and works well to grab a piece of toast that is stuck in the toaster. Because it is wooden, there is no need to unplug the toaster as the wood does not conduct electricity. Two of my prior purchases were for one household, and the third for a different one. I needed a second order because a grandchild "lost" the tongs down a sofa and I did not find them for several months. Meanwhile I needed to use them. In one case the glue holding the handle together cracked. it was a simple matter to re-glue them with Elmer's glue and they have held up for a number of years. A GREAT product.
